KPTS KIDS CLUB 2011 KPTS Kids Club Pictures April Kids Club Event at Great Plains Nature Center The kids made sponge print caterpillars and bug barns. They also did an outdoor scavenger hunt and hands on learning in the Koch habitat hall. The older kids made solar system bracelets and air rockets while parents and younger kids got a guided tour of the museum. The kids club members also got to make and sample liquid oxygen ice cream, launch their air rockets and observe a trashcan launch.
The kids got to meet and get their pictures taken with Clifford from Clifford the Big Red Dog and Buddy from Dinosaur Train. They also made baseball picture frames and colored dinosaur crafts while watching the Wichita Wingnuts beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 14-9. S-T-R-I-K-E. The KPTS Kids Club members went bowling for the end-of-year Big Bash. The kids got to meet everyone's favorite monkey Curious George. They also got to do Martha Speaks crafts in honor of Animal Shelter Appreciation Week in November.
