2011 KPTS Kids Club Pictures

 April Kids Club Event at Great Plains Nature Center

The kids made sponge print caterpillars and bug barns. They also did an outdoor scavenger hunt and hands on learning in the Koch habitat hall. 

 


June Kids Club Event at the Kansas Cosmosphere

The older kids made solar system bracelets and air rockets while parents and younger kids got a guided tour of the museum.  The kids club members also got to make and sample liquid oxygen ice cream, launch their air rockets and observe a trashcan launch.



July Kids Club Event at the Wichita Wingnuts

The kids got to meet and get their pictures taken with Clifford from Clifford the Big Red Dog and Buddy from Dinosaur Train. They also made baseball picture frames and colored dinosaur crafts while watching the Wichita Wingnuts beat the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 14-9.

 
October Kids Club Big Bash at WSU Rhatigan Center

S-T-R-I-K-E.  The KPTS Kids Club members went bowling for the end-of-year Big Bash.  The kids got to meet everyone's favorite monkey Curious George.  They also got to do Martha Speaks crafts in honor of Animal Shelter Appreciation Week in November.

Do you have a special child or grandchild in your life that is 10 years old or younger? 
 

For a yearly membership of $75, you can enroll up to 3 children in the KPTS Kid’s Club while supporting quality programs on Channel 8.  Award winning programs such as Sesame Street, Super Why, Cat in the Hat and Clifford the Big Red Dog are all possible because of our member support.

Once enrolled in the KPTS Kid’s Club each child will receive the following:

♦ KPTS Kid’s Club t-shirt
♦ Box full of fun and educational activities
♦ Birthday card with a surprise gift certificate
♦ Birthday greeting on TV and the KPTS website.  TV greeting aired several times a day, the first week of the month of his or her birthday
♦ Activity Days with KPTS in April, June and August; consisting of educational activities for the kids and special workshops and demonstrations for parents. Plus goodie bags for each child in attendance.
♦ Annual Big Bash in October with surprise character guest .


It’s easy to join!  Just visit Shop KPTS and pay for your child's membership online with a credit card.  KPTS will contact you via ground mail to collect your child's name and birth date information.
