Although quiet, the grasslands of modern Butler County still bare traces of the dynamic search for black gold that shapes our lives to this day.

KMEA Music for Life

We all know the importance of music in our lives. From a very young age, we are influenced by music as it soothes, teaches and enriches our culture and daily lives.

In celebration of music education and its lifelong impact, KPTS and the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) present the third opus (edition) of Music for Life. This hour long brodadcast examines the process of music education and it's importance in public schools, and includes interviews with students, teachers, administrators, university professors and community members.
