A great community deserves a great public media station – one capable of delivering community-building programs and services. We greatly appreciate your support this past fiscal year. It’s only with your support that we are able to grow the number of local programs we produce, expand our other programming and do more in the community.
Here are some of this year’s important accomplishments:
Membership income was 10 percent higher this year over last year.
We have made adjustments in our daytime programming and as a result have seen our daytime viewership increase dramatically.
Our special events such as: Veteran’s Coming Home and the Live Action Auction were successful.
We have grown to offering seven, locally-produced shows: StoryTime Village and Kansas Week with Pilar Pedraza, Hatteberg’s People, Wild Edge, Positively Kansas with Sierra Scott; and On on One with Victor Hogstrom.
We are reaching out to cities in our coverage area to develop partnerships that will help the cities promote what they have to offer and achieve their goals.
We are partnering with media outlets in our coverage area to run ads benefiting the station.
We acquired three new edit systems; developed a five-year equipment vision and plan to acquire a new building.
We are collaborating with individuals and organizations throughout our viewing region for outreach purposes and for our local programs.
We formed our Brit Club and Whovian Club and purchased more BritCom and Dr. Who titles with club members directly sponsoring these programs.
We established a BritCom High Tea for members of the new club.
